A bit about us and what we do
Who are we?
We’re a group of Free and Open Source (FOSS) developers primarily based in the UK. We came from the Freenode IRC network, originally under the name Unity Coders, but now go under the name FOSS Galaxy (although, you probably should have guessed that from the site branding). Our membership has a diverse range of interests but is united by an interest in computing and programming.
What do we do?
We provide an online home for our members and help them to make cool and interesting projects. You can see some examples of the kind of stuff we’ve worked on over in the projects section. From our beginnings, we’ve also provided a place for people interested in programming and FOSS to learn their craft.
On our GitLab servers, you’ll find a vast array of software for you to use, adapt and learn from. Some of it is also available in software archives such as Maven Central, The Python Package Archive and (hopefully soon) some Linux Repositories.
